*** MY CORE CORE VALUES ***
Why do a set of core values…what’s the point?
This question has already been asked several times.
My response is as follows. So we can live life on our own terms.
To figure out want we stand for, what our purpose is…and ultimately where we’re headed….what is our end goal?
If we stick by our core values through ups and downs we will be fulfilled.“When you walk with purpose, you collide with destiny” - BEATRICE BERRY1. Friendship
I began my career with a band of brothers fresh out of university and our friendships were to form the foundation of what I stand for today. This sense of connectedness; the feeling that we were part of something bigger than ourselves is possibly my defining value. I began life headstrong and brash; the team made me realise it wasn’t just about me.2. Truth / Humility
Granted this doesn’t come naturally, but it is vital that we are all striving towards this and understanding it’s importance. This stems from realising that you are part of somethingbigger than yourself and also putting others before your self. It is far more impressive when others discover your good qualities without your help. Our role models are Nagano /  Nadal / Carson / Hsehei / Xavi / Messi /. Great champions who are humble. Grounded individuals who are almost blind to their own brilliance. We’re not saying we’re brilliant ;) but if we get close we want to stay the same down to earth chumps we wereat the start!4. Happiness
Be real. We speak from the heart and have flaws which is why we refuse to edit our podcasts. We aim to have fun in our shows all the time and yes this can be combined with work. Why not?  We are passionate about what we do and strive to narrow the gap between work and social life!3. Approachability
Not just being approachable, but being the first one to approach another. Every interaction with another is an opportunity to gain on additional perspective. Regardless of background we are keen to meet everyone…and if there is a genuine connection then all the better. New perspective helps us learn more and grow.4. Equality of voice
We will listen to all no matter what your standing. In the same breadth when we are speaking we will speak to president Obama in the same way as we will the next man in the street.Real.  As two avid contributors to the ever changing world of the Web we will strive to have an input on every topic out there. We don’t discriminate, we’ll talk about anything, you name the topic, we’ll provide the entertainment and knowledge.5. Humour
Bad jokes, worse puns and the swear box! A massively underated commodity in business and not really something you can teach! But when the chips are down during a tough/ bad day this doesn’t half make a difference to your wellbeing!6. Energy
Talk – action = bulls**t.
This is one of the mantras we live by. Okay I know we’re a podcast and therefore do flapjack alittle…but after the initial idea has been conceived 70% of this game is perspiration…Energy to make something happen. Also energy in it’s physical form…we love sport and preach an active lifestyle for both body and mind. Increased mental fitness will also make you more productive! All day!7. Risk
To take a chance is what underpins us.  Progress always involves risks.
You can’t steal second base and keep your foot on first.
To love is to risk not being loved in return. To believe is to risk despair. To try is to risk failiure. The people who risk nothing do nothing.Only a person who risks is truly free.
8. Creativity
When working out what made is happy…creativity was very near the top of the list. Quite an obvious value but needs stating nonetheless!  Other things which make us happy are: Games/ reading/ people/sport/animals/food/music and sunshine!
We never say ‘No’ - we were cut from a unqiue cloth and it was drummed into us that ‘no’ is the biggest idea killer out there, we will never use it. We like to breed creativity not kill it. #Dench!
